Around 50% of people struggle to take their medication as prescribed and there are many factors influencing this, such as forgetfulness or avoidance because of negative side effects. When medication is not taken as prescribed, it not only leads to more hospital admissions but also can affect the medication’s effectiveness in treating the illness. This is particularly important for people with a chronic illness, such as cancer. Because of this, we developed the SAMSON App, which is designed to help patients to take their medication (Ibrutinib) on time, as prescribed.
